The dog range

The dog is standing in front of the bottle

A two-kilo Chihuahua, a young shepherd and an old Labrador do not automatically require the same product. Weight plays a role, but also age, sensitivity, taste preference, diet, medication and the reason why an owner is considering CBD.

That is why our dog line consists of 125, 250 and 500 mg CBD and several carrier oils. The number of milligrams on the label is the total amount of CBD in the bottle; it is not a quality figure and a higher number is not automatically better.

Three carrier oils, recognizable on the label

Here you see the 250 mg variant as an example. Gold, MCT and wild Alaskan salmon oil are also available for dogs in 125 and 500 mg.

Three deliberate formulations

Gold, MCT or Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil for a dog?

GOLD

100% full-spectrum hemp extract

Gold is our most complete oil and consists of hemp seed oil with 100% full-spectrum hemp extract. We carefully select the CBD formulation and carrier oil for each product range. Read the product information and choose the variant intended for your pet.

MCT

Neutral in taste

MCT oil hardly has a distinct taste. This can be useful for dogs that refuse fish or when fish is avoided due to a food sensitivity. Always check all ingredients.

SALMON

For fussy eaters

We only use wild Alaskan salmon oil, which comes from wild-caught salmon and not from farmed salmon. The recognizable fishy smell and taste can make acceptance easier. Wild Alaskan salmon oil itself contains fatty acids, including omega 3. This variant is not suitable for known fish sensitivity.

Experience use by owners

What do dog owners use CBD for?

Owner surveys and questions from practice show a wide use. This overview describes why people give CBD to their dogs; it does not mean that CBD treats these complaints or that every animal will benefit from it.

We work together with veterinarians. Customers also regularly tell us that they come to us after consultation or referral by a veterinarian. We always refer to the attending veterinarian for medical assessment and treatment.

Stress and behavior

  • Being home alone and separation anxiety
  • Fireworks, thunder and other loud noises
  • Travel, vet or grooming salon visits
  • Restlessness, difficulty sleeping and reactive behavior

Pain and movement

  • Osteoarthritis and stiffness in older dogs
  • Hip or elbow problems and back discomfort
  • Acute or long-term pain and inflammatory complaints
  • Comfort around injury, surgery or recovery

Neurology and skin

  • Epilepsy and seizures, only as a supplement after consultation
  • Cognitive decline or dementia
  • Itching, environmental allergies and excessive licking
  • General irritability or restlessness

Stomach, disease and comfort

  • Nausea, vomiting or loss of appetite
  • Chronic diarrhea and other intestinal complaints
  • Discomfort with cancer or a chronic condition
  • Palliative support and quality of life

Experiences are not proof. Positive stories from owners can be valuable, but do not demonstrate that CBD treats the cause. New pain, seizures, paralysis, persistent vomiting or not eating requires a vet first. Never change prescribed medication on your own initiative.

ECS and composition

Does the entourage effect also apply to dogs?

Dogs have an endocannabinoid system and more research has been done into this than many other pets. It is therefore biologically conceivable that different components in a hemp extract can influence each other.

However, the entourage effect has not been convincingly proven as a separate clinical effect in dogs either. Therefore, see it as a possible interaction within a full-spectrum product, not as a guaranteed better effect. Standard Gold contains 100% full-spectrum hemp extract in hemp seed oil. We carefully select the CBD formulation and carrier oil for each product range. Read the product information and choose the variant intended for your pet.

Practical selection guide

This way you choose more carefully

01

Start with the dog

Record weight, age, current diet, known sensitivities, medication and the specific reason for use.

02

Select the composition

Compare Gold, MCT and salmon not only on taste, but also on complete ingredients and what the dog can tolerate.

03

Observe consistently

Don't change everything at once. For example, note rest, exercise, appetite and noticeable behavior, so that changes can be discussed.

Preferably give CBD oil with food

Mix the measured CBD oil with a small snack of fat-containing food that the dog eats completely. Suitable examples are a little cold-pressed coconut oil, oily fish, meat or egg. The fats act as a carrier for the cannabinoids and support absorption through the digestive system.

Do not use a full food bowl, but a small portion to ensure that everything is consumed. Directly into the mouth is possible if a dog refuses the snack.

Frequently asked questions about CBD for dogs

What strengths are available?

The dog line contains 125, 250 and 500 mg CBD per bottle. The appropriate choice depends on the specific product, the weight of the dog and the situation of use.

Why don't you sell one oil for all animals?

A universal label does not take into account differences in body weight, acceptance, carrier oil and species-specific sensitivity. We therefore build up the range from the animal group.

Can CBD be combined with medicines?

CBD can affect the processing of medicines. Therefore, discuss combined use in advance with the treating veterinarian and never stop prescribed medication independently.

Is Wild Alaska Salmon Oil Better Than MCT?

Not automatic. Wild Alaskan salmon oil may be tastier and contains its own fatty acids; MCT is more neutral and is often chosen when avoiding fish. The best choice depends on the dog.

A choice that fits everyday life

From the morning walk to a familiar mealtime, you know your dog’s habits best. A suitable product choice also takes that daily routine into account. Compare the broad formulation of standard Gold, the neutral taste of organic C8-MCT and the distinctive taste of wild Alaskan salmon oil. Then explore the strengths available in the dog range. This helps you choose based on formulation and ease of use, rather than simply the highest number on the bottle.
