We produce our CBD oil ourselves
Cannabidiol Company develops and produces on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. As a result, we know the raw materials used, composition and product batch and we do not have to sell a ready-made white label product under our own brand.
Close to the process
From raw material to a product per animal group
Producing our own products does not just mean filling bottles for us. It starts with the selection of CBD and carrier oils, followed by developing individual formulations for dogs, cats, birds and small pets.
The products are made in small batches. In this way, used CBD batches and produced product batches can be linked to each other. We can also specifically adapt the composition to an animal group, instead of using one bulk product for each animal.
The origin of our hemp
Certified suppliers from Austria and Germany
Our hemp comes from certified European suppliers from Austria and Germany. We consciously choose these Western European countries because of their strict quality requirements.
The hemp is grown there naturally and organically. The cultivation is completely free of:
- Pesticides and herbicides
- Chemical pesticides
- Genetic modification (GMO-free)
After import, we further process the hemp in-house in the Netherlands. The final artisanal production of our CBD oil also takes place on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug.
Our extraction method
CBD extraction with supercritical CO₂
Supercritical CO₂ extraction uses carbon dioxide under controlled pressure and temperature to extract components from hemp. Above the critical point, CO₂ has properties of both a gas and a liquid and can move through plant material and dissolve substances.
After the process, the CO₂ evaporates from the extract again. This means that no classic organic solvent is required, which must subsequently be removed from the product. The process settings partly determine which components are extracted; “CO₂ extraction” alone is therefore not complete proof of quality.
From extract to formulation
Extract, check and formulate
The extract is not automatically the bottle that an animal owner receives. The raw material is checked first. The correct amount is then processed with the carrier oil and composition of the relevant product line.
In general we work with real hemp extract. The standard Gold formula consists of hemp seed oil with 100% full-spectrum hemp extract. We carefully select the CBD formulation and carrier oil for each product range. Read the product information and choose the variant intended for your pet. There are also compositions with MCT oil and wild Alaskan salmon oil. Through a special production process, we make Gold for cats without terpenes. We use this formulation in both cat variants: CBD with wild Alaskan salmon oil and CBD with organic C8-MCT.

Select raw materials
Hemp from Austria and Germany. We carefully select the CBD formulation and carrier oil for each product range. Read the product information and choose the variant intended for your pet.
Check CBD Batch
We review the available analysis results of the CBD batch used.
Determine formula
Standard Gold uses full-spectrum hemp extract. Through a special production process, we make Gold for cats without terpenes. We use this formulation in both cat variants: CBD with wild Alaskan salmon oil and CBD with organic C8-MCT.
Small batch production
We formulate our products in-house in the Utrechtse Heuvelrug region.
Record the batch
We record which CBD raw material belongs to the product batch made.
Filling and labelling
The bottle is labelled with animal group, CBD strength and product information.
We choose the method per composition; the special Gold cat formula has a different raw material composition than standard full-spectrum Gold.
Why it matters
Knowing a brand is not the same as knowing the maker
Many brands have a standard formula made by an external manufacturer. That does not necessarily have to be a bad thing, but it says little about the brand's own knowledge. We have consciously kept development and production together.
This allows us to answer questions about composition, animal group, raw material batch and product choice ourselves. We carefully select the CBD formulation and carrier oil for each product range. Read the product information and choose the variant intended for your pet.
Filling in-house
The final production step also remains close by
After composition, the products are filled and provided with the correct animal group label. A 125 mg, 250 mg or 500 mg dog product should remain recognizable as a separate product—not as the same anonymous oil with just a different sales pitch.

A familiar producer behind every bottle
Behind our oils is a producer who knows its own products. We develop and produce in small batches in the Utrechtse Heuvelrug region and select formulations for each pet category. You can therefore ask us about the range, carrier oils and available strengths. For cats, we use a special production process to make Gold without terpenes, used in wild Alaskan salmon oil or organic C8-MCT. That care for individual formulations creates a range in which your pet is the starting point.
